The "Clinton Streetscape Project" features a captivating collection of eight over-life-size bronze sculptures representing Mississippi wildlife, elegantly mounted on uniquely shaped stone fountains. Installed in 2003 along Downtown 5th Avenue in Clinton, Iowa, each fountain measures 3 feet by 6 feet in diameter and serves as a stunning focal point within a landscaped area. The project includes over-life-size representations of an eagle, mink, snow geese, otter, heron, catfish, beaver, and a fox, each centrally mounted on a 6.5-foot diameter fountain. There are eight vibrant, 15-foot-diameter landscaped compositions placed at eight street corners. Accompanied by interpretive plaques, these installations beautify the streetscape, encourage conversation, and serve as landmarks for navigation, enriching the community’s connection to its natural heritage.
