This poignant bronze sculpture, designed by Donna Young and enlarged by Chris Bennett, was commissioned by Trinity Hospital in Rock Island, Illinois in 1997, and depicts a family experiencing a moment of comfort and care. The sculpture features three life-size bronze figures: a kneeling mother and father consoling their daughter, who has scraped her elbow. The tender gesture of the parents, reaching out to their child, symbolizes the compassionate care provided by the hospital's staff. Trinity Hospital selected this sculpture to emphasize that their staff cares for not just the patients, but their entire families. The public artwork serves as a reminder of the hospital's dedication to providing holistic care and support.
