The Johnson Shut-ins State Park installations at the Orientation Center Plaza are located in the rugged terrain of the St. Francis Mountains in Reynolds County, Missouri. Each plaque is crafted from bronze and Cor-ten steel and measures 6 feet by 2 feet. Commissioned as part of the Signature Design project, these pieces reflect the area’s natural beauty and cultural heritage and illustrate the park's resilience and commitment to renewal following a devastating flood. Unveiled in 2009, the design incorporates local cut stone and features the region's flora, fauna, and geological evolution, offering a visual narrative that connects visitors to the land's past. Bennett Studio was part of a team that brought the project to fruition.
