Located in the famous W. Bronze Bulldog Plaza at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, this one-and-a-half times life-size bronze sculpture of a bulldog has become an attraction for students, alumni, and locals since its unveiling in 2020. With a determined expression and a proud stance, “Griff” measures twenty-eight inches tall to the top of the ears, twenty-four inches to the top of the withers, and thirty inches long. It is installed on a forty-inch tall brick and limestone pedestal. This public sculpture is renowned for its realism and reputation for bestowing good luck to those who pet it.
