"Architectural Continuum" is a striking site-specific installation located above the doors of the atrium entrance at the University of Northern Iowa's I.T.T.C. in Cedar Falls. Unveiled in 2007, this artwork features life-size aluminum cutout figures adorned with a blend of contemporary color imagery and sepia-toned historical photographs, printed on Mylar and Plexiglas. The installation reflects the evolving uses of the I.T.T. Center and highlights the building's renovations over time from a women’s gymnasium to housing an Internet Technology Center. By juxtaposing vibrant modern visuals with historical representations, Architectural Continuum creates a dialogue between the past and present, inviting viewers to consider the center's significance in the community.
